Get the Answers You Need
Drop Off & Pick Up
Each child's registration should clearly state who is allowed to pick up your child. Please bring government issued photo identification (drivers licence, etc) to pick up. Each child will be signed in and out of camp daily.
Allergies & Medical Conditions
Each child's registration will state clearly any medical conditions and/or allergies. All staff will be informed of any children in need of special attention. Puffers and epipens will be kept together with staff and travel between instructor in-charge. Camps sites are nut-free but cannot be guaranteed 100%.
What to Bring
Each child should bring appropriate sportswear and shoes, including extra socks, t-shirt and shorts, as well as lunch (if you did not purchase a lunch package), a water bottle, snacks, and sunscreen. Personal electronic devices and jewelry should be left at home. Active Scholars is not responsible for any loss or stolen items.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
PD Day Camp Refunds: In the event that your child is unable to attend the session(s) for which they’re registered, you will be entitled to the full refund minus a 10% cancellation admin fee upon written notice prior to one week from the session date. No refunds will be processed after that deadline unless a doctor’s certificate is presented.
Summer Camp Refunds: In the event that your child is unable to attend a session(s) for which they’re registered, you will be entitled to the full refund minus a 20% cancellation admin fee upon written notice prior to June 1st. No refunds will be processed after June 1st unless a doctor’s certificate is presented.
Summer Camp Session Cancellations: In the unlikely event that the weekly camp session you registered for is canceled, a full refund will be provided. Registrants will be notified of cancellations 2-weeks in advance.
Summer Camp Session Transfers:
Transfers to camp sessions of a different week(s) for the same value - no charge
Transfers to camp sessions of increased price (e.g. 4-day to 5-day camp) - you pay difference
Transfers to camp sessions of decreased price (e.g. 5-day to 4-day camp) prior to June 1st - we refund the difference.
Wait Lists: Camp sessions can fill up quickly. If the camp session you wish to register for is full, you can simply contact us by phone (416-571-1236) or through the Contact Us webpage to be added to the wait-list, and we will notify you when space becomes available. If you are on the wait-list and find another camp to register your child for, as a courtesy to others please contact our office to be removed from the list.
